SYNOQUIN® Large Breed Tablets

The tablets contain pork liver flavouring and are highly palatable. Most dogs will eat these chewable tablets like a treat. This format offers a flavoured option for owners building joint supplementation into their dog’s daily routine.

SYNOQUIN® Large Breed Capsules

The sprinkle capsules provide an alternative to tablets. They have no added flavouring, although the krill ingredient gives them a fishy taste. These capsules can be given whole but in most cases are sprinkled on the food.

Is Large Breed the Right Size for My Dog?

Choose the SYNOQUIN® formulation according to your dog’s weight, rather than breed name alone.

Large Breed is for dogs over 25 kg, including mixed-breed dogs within this weight range.

The daily amount differs for dogs up to 40 kg and those over 40 kg. Check the feeding guide below and ask your veterinary clinic if you are unsure which formulation to choose.

Ingredients That Support Joint Health

SYNOQUIN® combines five key ingredients:

• Glucosamine HCl: Supports the production of cartilage and lubricating joint fluid.

• Chondroitin Sulphate: Helps cartilage perform its shock-absorbing role.

• Dexahan: Purified krill providing Omega 3 essential fatty acids and the antioxidant Astaxanthin.

• Ascorbic Acid: Vitamin C, providing antioxidant support.

• Zinc Sulphate: Contributes to cartilage metabolism.

Together, these ingredients provide nutritional support for cartilage protection, joint function and mobility.

Supporting Your Large Dog’s Mobility

Changes in everyday activities can be a reason to speak with your vet. Your dog may become reluctant to exercise, appear stiff or find steps more difficult.

How to Give Synoquin Large Breed

The feeding programme starts with a six-week loading period, followed by ongoing maintenance. The quantities below refer to Large Breed tablets or Large Breed capsules.

Initial six weeks:

• 25 - 40kg 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening

• over 40kg 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening

Long-term maintenance

• 25 - 40kg 1 daily

• over 40kg 2 daily: 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening

Dogs respond individually to supplementation. Follow the pack instructions and your veterinary surgeon’s advice before reducing the daily amount.
