RENATE®

RENATE® is a supplement for cats, to help maintain normal phosphate levels and kidney health.
As kidney function changes, a cat may become less able to remove phosphate from the body efficiently. Managing dietary phosphate is therefore an important part of veterinary kidney care.
RENATE® contains dual phosphate binders to support kidney health, along with cranberry, curcumin and pinus pinaster that contain antioxidants to help support urinary tract health.
RENATE® is available in a palatable powder, in individual sachets, which can be easily mixed in with food. It is designed for long-term daily use when recommended by your veterinarian.
Pack Size: RENATE® is available in packs of 30 sachets for cats.
Information on Kidney Health
The kidneys perform several essential functions. They filter metabolic waste from the blood, regulate fluid and electrolyte balance, contribute to blood-pressure control, help stimulate red-blood-cell production and activate vitamin D involved in calcium and phosphorus regulation. In some cats, the kidneys can gradually lose some of their normal function. It is generally a progressive condition, but early diagnosis and appropriate management can help maintain a cat’s quality of life. Healthy kidneys help maintain an appropriate phosphate balance by removing excess amounts in the urine. As kidney function declines, phosphate can become more difficult to eliminate. Controlling phosphate intake is therefore an important part of managing feline chronic kidney disease and phosphate binders may be recommended by your veterinarian to help support kidney health. Increased drinking, increased urination, weight loss and inappetence can be signs of changes to the normal functioning of the kidney. If you have seen any changes in your cats health, please contact your veterinary practice for advice.
How can RENATE® help my pet?
The kidneys has many functions in the body including filtering excess phosphate into the urine, a process that can be affected by reduced kidney function. RENATE® provides several complementary forms of nutritional support in one daily sachet. The dual phosphate binders can interact with dietary phosphate inside the digestive tract, so it passes through the intestine rather than being absorbed, to help support normal phosphate levels in cats. Curcumin, pinus pinaster and vitamin E provide antioxidant support for the kidney and cranberry forms part of the wider support RENATE® provides for kidney and urinary tract health.
