Horse Joint Health and Signs of Joint Problems

Joint health is important for the happiness and mobility of all horses. We would always recommend speaking to your vet practice, for further advice, if you notice: • Stiffness • Lameness • Shortened or uneven strides • Reluctance to move forward • Reduced flexibility • Taking longer than usual to warm up • Decreased performance • Reluctance to jump, canter or perform previously comfortable work • Changes in behaviour when ridden, handled or asked to move

How can SYNEQUIN help my horse®?

SYNEQUIN® provides specific nutrients used by the body to maintain cartilage, connective tissue and normal joint function. By supporting joint function and lubrication, range of joint motion and stride length can be maintained. SYNEQUIN® may be particularly useful for horses whose joints are subject to increased demands, including competition horses, working horses, older horses and horses returning to activity under veterinary guidance. Although many owners begin considering an equine joint supplement only after noticing stiffness or reduced performance, joint health is relevant throughout a horse’s working life. Your veterinarian can help determine when supplementation is appropriate for your individual horse. SYNEQUIN® can be used to support cartilage health and function as part of a multimodal approach for healthy joints, that involves good diet, weight management and exercise.
