The lower urinary tract includes the bladder and urethra and the inner surface of the bladder is lined by specialised cells called the urothelium. A protective layer containing glycosaminoglycans helps separate these cells from the urine. Your cat cannot tell you if they have trouble when they urinate. We would always recommend speaking to your veterinarian for further advice, if you notice: • Blood in your cat's urine • More frequent visits to the litter tray • Your cat appears difficulty when they are urinating • They begin urinating small amounts in unusual places, such as the sink or bath. • Their normal behaviour is altered • Your cat starts to over groom, especially on their belly or around their back end.

CYSTAID® contains N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine, which helps to support bladder health by maintaining the glycosaminoglycan layer, a structure that lines and protects the bladder mucosa. Stress and changes within a cat’s environment can be associated with bladder issues. CYSTAID® also contains L-tryptophan which can help support a calm, normal composure in cats. CYSTAID® is a palatable product and the capsules can be opened and the powder inside mixed with food.

Your vet will be able to recommend the appropriate support for your cat. This may involve medication, increased water intake, diet changes, surgery and other supportive care.

CYSTAID® may be given whole or the capsule may be opened and its contents sprinkled onto food. The capsules contents may be compacted and can be crumbled if needed. • Initial feeding period 3-4 weeks - two capsules daily; one in morning, one in evening. • Long-term maintenance after initial period - one capsule daily Continue long term or for the period recommended by your veterinary surgeon.
